DESCRIPTION:Fra le pietre d’inciampo posate quest’anno\, anche quelle dell’archeologo e mercante d’arte austro-ceco Ludwig Pollak\, sua moglie\, la signora Julia\, e i due figli ormai adulti\, Wolfgang e Susanna. \nPollak (* Praga\, 14 settembre 1868) ha vissuto quasi 50 anni a Roma ed è noto per aver scoperto il braccio originale del Laocoonte\, come anche per l’identificazione dell’Athena Stroganoff (ora a Francoforte\, Liebieghaus). La famiglia Pollak fu tra gli oltre 1.000 ebrei di Roma arrestati nel Sabato nero\, il 16 ottobre 1943\, e trasportati due giorni dopo ad Auschwitz-Birkenau\, dove quasi tutti furono immediatamente uccisi con il gas. \nTutte le info su : memorie d’inciampo2022\, pietredinciampo2021 (arteinmemoria.it)
